May 29 — The People’s Bank of China hosted an MPC academic lecture chaired by Governor Pan Gongsheng. Li Yang of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences presented on “Money, Interest Rates and Monetary Policy,” covering monetary theory, interest-rate marketization and international shifts in monetary-policy and governance paradigms. Deputies from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange attended and SAFE deputy Li Bin gave closing remarks; PBOC departments and branches participated.
