May 29 — NIO chair Li Bin told the 2026 Future Auto Pioneers Conference that
competition over the next one to two years will be severe and that lagging
brands and technologies will be cleared faster. He said price wars are fading
but the market remains ruthless even without them. With technological
convergence and growing product homogeneity, consumers are shifting from
choosing specs to choosing brands, and industry competition is moving from
single-point battles to system-level rivalry across the long automotive supply
chain.
