The Israel Defense Forces said on the 28th it conducted a series of air and
targeted strikes over the past two weeks against Lebanon’s Hezbollah, killing
several regional commanders it said were directing operations and planning
attacks on Israeli forces and Israel. The IDF named seven senior Hezbollah
members killed, including a Hayyam-area commander, an aide to the Badr unit’s
deputy commander, a Shaqif-area intelligence officer, and engineering and
regional commanders in Yakhmur and Juwaya. The IDF said roughly 2,500 Hezbollah
fighters have been killed since Israel launched its "Roaring Lion" military
operation targeting Iran, about 800 of them after a ceasefire took effect.
