European bond yields fell; Germany's 10-year yield dropped to its lowest since April 8, down 3 bps intraday to 2.927%.

At a May 29 press briefing, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) released its global trade friction index for March 2026, reporting a reading of 104, described as high. The value of measures involved in trade frictions fell 29.1% YoY but rose 2.8% MoM. Among 20 monitored countries/regions, the US, India and the EU ranked highest; the US accounted for the largest value of measures and led in 11 of the past 12 months. CCPIT said disputes were concentrated across 13 monitored industries, led by electronics, followed by chemicals, transport equipment and machinery.
