U.S. Defense Secretary Hegseth said the U.S. is undertaking a historic mobilization of the defense industrial base’s manufacturing capacity.

Geely is moving a several‑hundred‑strong assisted‑driving team from its Geely Research Institute into the Qianli Technology group, sources say. Under the initial plan the team will transfer into Qianli Zhijia’s joint venture with Zeekr, Qianli Haohan, to handle bespoke development and mass‑production delivery for Geely models, while Qianli Zhijia focuses on core R&D. Some research‑institute staff have received employment contract transfer notices. Geely declined to comment.

Chinese carriers will reduce fuel surcharges on domestic passenger tickets sold from June 5, 2026. New rates: 150 yuan per adult on routes over 800 km and 80 yuan per adult on routes of 800 km or less—reductions of 20 yuan and 10 yuan respectively from previous levels. The change will partly lower passenger travel costs.
