May 29 — Former U.S. attorney general Pam Bondi attended a closed-door
congressional hearing on the Epstein case. Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia said
Bondi told lawmakers the probe was led by acting attorney general Branch and
effectively "passed the buck" to Branch. Several Epstein victims told the panel
they view the Justice Department's failures as deliberate dereliction of duty,
alleging Bondi and Branch broke the law and demanding full accountability.
