President Trump told Fox on May 30 the US and Iran are close to a 'very good
deal' and he expects a 'better deal,' but said he would ask the Pentagon to
intervene if no agreement is reached. He warned that if he does not get what he
wants 'we will end it another way.' Trump said a signed accord would secure
navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear
weapons, and added he is not rushing negotiations: 'If you rush you don't get a
good deal.'
