Al Jazeera reports Hamas says it is holding intensive talks to halt Israeli escalation in Gaza and to secure implementation of a ceasefire agreement.

In February Aerolíneas Argentinas had announced special World Cup services from Rosario, Córdoba and Tucumán to Miami starting June 8. The carrier said rising jet-fuel costs have eroded expected profitability and it has cancelled those Miami special flights. Affected passengers will be rebooked onto alternative services departing from Buenos Aires.

On May 31 the ZAPORIZHZHIA NUCLEAR PLANT operator said its transport workshop was hit by Ukrainian armed forces, destroying six commuter shuttles and two cars; no casualties were reported. The operator said the site has been one of the most frequently targeted by Ukrainian forces in recent months, with official vehicles and staff commuter buses repeatedly affected. Despite the strike the plant remains in normal operation; safety is said to be fully ensured and all technical parameters are under continuous monitoring.
