Ali Hamdan, senior adviser to Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri, said on June 1 that Berri told US interlocutors the previous day Hezbollah is ready to reach an immediate, comprehensive ceasefire with Israel. Hamdan said Berri pledged to take all measures to ensure the ceasefire is effectively implemented.

President Macron announced at the Choose France summit that foreign investors have pledged about €93 bln (~$108 bln), with the bulk tied to a SoftBank Group commitment. SoftBank has pledged up to €75 bln to build AI data-center capacity in France, with an initial €45 bln tranche aimed at delivering 31 GW in northern France by 2031; SoftBank calls it its largest AI investment in Europe. Macron said he personally helped negotiate the deal during a visit to Japan.
