NBC News quoted President Trump saying he has not received word that Iran has
suspended talks with the US. He said if that were true he would be fine with it
and that, 'to be honest, I think we've had too much talking. I think staying
quiet would be good, and that silence could last a long time.' He added, 'this
does not mean we are going to go around dropping bombs,' and said the US would
'maintain the blockade' of the strait, likening the blockade to 'a piece of
steel.' He said he can wait as long as necessary and that Iran is losing 'huge
amounts of wealth.'
