The China Semiconductor Industry Association projects integrated circuit sales
(design, manufacturing, packaging and testing) will exceed 1.7 tln yuan in 2025,
up more than 19% YoY. Including equipment, parts and materials, the wider
industry would top 1.9 tln yuan. Association chairman Chen Nanxiang said the
sector should become a new pillar of China’s economy, capable of supporting
downstream demand and driving upstream development.
