Early on June 2 air-raid sirens sounded across much of Ukraine and heavy
explosions were reported in Kyiv. Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko said the city was
struck, including Podilskyi and Obolon districts. Ukraine says Russia’s
large-scale airstrikes have so far killed at least nine people and wounded more
than 60 in Kyiv, Dnipro and Kharkiv. Russia has not yet responded to the claims.
