HKEX said it signed separate memorandums of understanding with the AIFC Authority and the Astana International Exchange (AIX) to deepen capital-market connectivity between Hong Kong and Central Asia. Under the AIFC MOU, the parties will pursue cooperation on climate transition, decarbonization and green finance — including development, financing and implementation of sustainable aviation projects — cooperate on commodity market trading and ecosystem development, and support financing for early-stage mining projects. Under the AIX MOU, the exchanges will work to expand cross-border listing opportunities, promote equity dual listings and cross-listing of debt securities, and establish regular communications to monitor market trends and assess further business cooperation.
