On June 1, Wang Lei, deputy party secretary and director of the Beijing
Economic‑Technological Development Area management committee, chaired a meeting
with space‑computing companies to solicit industry input and plan and advance
construction of a Space Computing Innovation Center in Yizhuang. Attending
executives said space computing — the convergence of commercial aerospace and
the digital economy — is a new global technology frontier with significant
strategic value and commercial potential.
