After a State Department statement on a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, Israeli ambassador to the US Yeshay Leit said US-brokered talks are "another important step" toward an Israel-Lebanon peace process but stressed any deal hinges on the end of Hezbollah. He warned "if Hezbollah thinks this outcome will grant them immunity, they are wrong," and said the ceasefire depends on "a full halt to hostilities against Israel and the complete dismantling of Hezbollah and its terrorist infrastructure."

Pakistan welcomed US efforts to help broker a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon and said it remains engaged in diplomacy to preserve Middle East peace and security. The foreign ministry added that, as a mediator and facilitator, Pakistan is optimistic about a US-Iran ceasefire.
