The EU Chamber of Commerce in China said the European Commission's new European
tech sovereignty package covers semiconductors, AI, cloud services, open-source
technology and energy-sector digitalization. The chamber said the measures are
closely relevant to Chinese firms operating in the EU and to Sino-EU digital
trade, investment and cooperation. It urged stronger connectivity and
cooperation between China and the EU — not market fragmentation or technological
decoupling — to support innovation, industrial competitiveness and sustainable
growth.
