Trump said on the 4th that although Hezbollah earlier rejected a U.S.-brokered
peace plan, negotiations remain underway and have made some progress. He said
the Lebanon situation is linked to Iran and that parties have contacted the U.S.
to discuss a ceasefire — "they called us asking whether the fighting could
stop." Trump added he has spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and has
had contact with Hezbollah.
