Tencent chief AI scientist Yao Shunyu said at an AI industry summit China should establish a long-term AGI organisation. He said Tencent's next-phase AI work will concentrate on three priorities: focusing on operational and optimization tasks around pre-training and fine-tuning to strengthen the technical base; productising foundational technology into commercial products that deliver societal value; and actively exploring new research paradigms and opportunities.
