Beijing seeks expanded cooperation in energy and minerals, artificial intelligence and the digital economy, will import more Laotian products and encourage Chinese investment in Laos while expecting Laos to improve the business environment. Li said China and Laos should closely coordinate to defend the rules-based multilateral trading system and safeguard free trade amid current shocks to the international trade order.
