June 4 — U.S. Central Command said it intercepted multiple ballistic missiles
and drones Iran fired toward the Strait of Hormuz and neighboring Gulf states.
CENTCOM said it had earlier shot down four one‑way attack drones aimed at the
Strait of Hormuz that posed a direct threat to maritime traffic. To deter
further maritime attacks, U.S. forces struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar
sites on Goruk and Qeshm islands. Preliminary assessment: six launched missiles
were intercepted; a seventh failed to hit its intended target. No U.S.
casualties reported; CENTCOM rejected Iran’s claim that it struck U.S. Fifth
Fleet headquarters in Bahrain. Forces remain on high alert and ready to act in
self‑defense.
