Sources say tech investor Sriram Krishnan, the architect of the Trump
administration’s pro-industry AI policy, plans to leave the White House at
month-end to found an external organization aimed at influencing technology
policy. Krishnan helped design the administration’s AI Action Plan, which
proposed easing regulation of new technologies and accelerating a nationwide
data-center buildout, and he assisted in drafting an executive order to limit
state-level AI regulation. But advanced models such as Anthropic’s Mythos have
shown the ability to find software security vulnerabilities, raising senior
government concerns about cyberattack risk and prompting some officials to
reassess the administration’s deregulatory course.
