Trump told NBC in a program broadcast on the 7th he will not unfreeze Iranian
assets or lift any sanctions before the US and Iran reach a peace agreement; in
an interview on the 5th he said he would only consider unfreezing assets after
both sides reach an agreement. Iran's state broadcaster IRIB on the 7th cited
foreign ministry spokesman BAGHAEI saying Iran demands the unfreezing of tens of
billions of dollars held in foreign banks and that the US should lift related
sanctions.
