Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it struck key facilities at two
Israeli airbases: Nevatim Airbase in the Negev near Beersheba and Tel Nof
Airbase south of Rehovot. The IRGC said the strikes were in response to an
Israeli "missile aggression" against Iranian radar installations. It said all
combat and operational units are at the "highest state of readiness" and
prepared for large-scale operations on "all fronts." An IRGC spokesman posted
that Iran had demonstrated control over the airspace of the occupied territories
and the wider region, dominated by IRGC Aerospace missile strikes. US media
reported Iran’s statements underline an attempt to showcase long-range strike
capability and strategic deterrence as military confrontation between the sides
escalates.
