Responding to an EU push for partners to reduce the so-called "dependence on
China," Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said on the 8th that China and the
EU are deeply integrated and mutually dependent across industrial and supply
chains — a result of globalization and market forces that benefits firms. He
said China is open and positive about resolving China-EU economic and trade
disputes, urged the EU to move toward China and resolve issues through dialogue
and consultation to advance mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.
