On June 3 the Ministry of Civil Affairs held a national teleconference to push
development of the rehabilitation assistive‑devices industry. The ministry urged
local authorities to expand effective demand to support a healthy supply‑demand
cycle; cultivate market participants to scale the industry and develop
high‑quality firms and domestic brands; accelerate the development and opening
of application scenarios, improve service networks and strengthen promotion and
demonstration; boost consumer demand via social insurance and subsidy measures;
and tighten regulation to uphold product quality and safety standards.
