Compute-driven demand has pushed electronic fabric prices sharply higher: common
specifications have undergone five price increases so far this year, lifting the
average to 7.4 yuan/m, about 100% above last year’s Q3 low. An unnamed listed
electronic-fabric maker confirmed five hikes, saying prices are reviewed at
month-end and adjusted for the following month, with each increase around 10%. A
senior executive at a leading producer said the uptrend began last year but has
accelerated this year. Producers say capacity expansion is constrained by high
equipment and process-control requirements, and by conversion of standard lines
to AI-specialty electronic fabric, which has reduced supply of ordinary grades.
