Local time on the 8th, the Israel Defense Forces said dozens of Israeli Air Force fighters under Military Intelligence command carried out a large-scale strike on strategic air-defense systems inside Iran. The IDF said Iran had recently deployed those systems to restore detection and defense capabilities damaged in earlier clashes and that the strike destroyed them. Earlier the same day the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said Israel used air-launched ballistic missiles to hit targets inside Iran.
