Refinitiv cited two attendees of a pre-IPO investor briefing saying SpaceX
executives told investors the company plans to begin an initial demonstration of
space-based AI computing infrastructure by end-2027, earlier than the "earliest
2028" deployment timeline disclosed in its IPO filing. The orbital computing
project is central to SpaceX's long-term growth case; the IPO filing said it is
"the only company with a commercially viable path to build orbital AI computing
systems at scale."
