At the morning open, China’s most-active domestic futures were mostly lower:
Shanghai silver futures tumbled over 5%, palladium futures fell more than 3% and
LPG dropped nearly 3%. Shanghai gold, propylene and fuel oil futures lost over
2%; monthly-average polypropylene and PET bottle-chip contracts slipped about
2%, and polypropylene futures eased just over 1%. On the upside,
container-shipping (Europe route) futures rose over 4%, while lithium carbonate
and egg contracts gained around 2%.
