China consumer price index (CPI) rose 1.2% YoY in May 2026, the National Bureau of Statistics said.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued AI+ICT Innovation Development Implementation Opinions (2026–2028), directing deployment of inference compute at edge devices across 5G/5G‑A, optical, IP and new industrial networks to provide integrated sensing‑compute‑intelligence edge services for transport, low‑altitude economy, manufacturing and entertainment. It calls for exploring cloud‑network‑edge‑end collaborative inference to reduce inference latency and terminal compute requirements and enable collaboration between large and small AI models.
