The Industry Association said China possesses the world’s most complete
new-energy vehicle (NEV) supply chain—from lithium processing and battery
manufacturing to motor/electronic control and vehicle assembly—capacity is
ample, costs are controllable and the supply chain has strong risk resilience.
Deputy secretary-general Chen Shihua said Chinese in‑vehicle systems,
intelligent driving and cabin interaction are adapting to overseas user needs;
rapid local iteration of smart features has become a core competitive edge
against legacy foreign automakers’ intelligence shortcomings. January–May auto
exports totaled 4.059 million vehicles, up 63% YoY; NEV exports were 1.833
million, accounting for over 45% of total auto exports.
