China A-shares closed lower. Shanghai Composite fell 0.42%, Shenzhen Composite
declined 2.06%, ChiNext slipped 2.70%. Turnover across Shanghai and Shenzhen was
2.62 trillion yuan, about 21.1 billion yuan below yesterday. Advancers roughly
1,600 versus about 3,900 decliners. Bank stocks traded higher amid mixed flows.
Chemicals led sector gains with multiple limit-ups, including Sinochem
International; tourism & hotels and photolithography/photoresist names also
rallied; photovoltaic equipment firms strengthened late. Also active: livestock,
brokerages, liquor, innovative drugs and airlines/airports. Biggest sector
declines: coal, electronic components, CPO, humanoid robots, commercial space
and lab-grown diamonds.
