On June 9 the WHPG pilot platform’s first well, G10, was spudded, marking the start of drilling for Phase II of the Bohai 19-6 gas field development. The field, in the central Bohai Sea at roughly 20m water depth, has identified geological gas reserves of over 200 bcm and condensate reserves above 200 mln m3. Phase I entered production in November 2023; Phase II will construct three wellhead platforms and three conductor jackets.
