By the midday close, China's main futures contracts were mostly higher.
Polysilicon hit the daily limit, up 8.99%. Palladium rose over 5%. Lithium
carbonate and apple futures climbed more than 4%. Ethylene glycol (EG) gained
over 3%. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was up about 3%; low-sulfur fuel oil (LU)
and methanol advanced over 2%. On the downside, Shanghai gold fell nearly 4%;
Shanghai zinc and Shanghai silver dropped more than 2%. Eggs, international
copper, Shanghai copper, live hogs and ferrosilicon were down over 1%.
