Premier Li Qiang chaired a State Council executive meeting that discussed and
approved in principle the Road Traffic Safety Law (amendment draft) and decided
to submit the draft to the National People’s Congress Standing Committee for
review. The meeting said the revision aims to strengthen road traffic safety
governance, proactively and prudently address emerging security risks, curb
traffic accidents, better protect personal and property safety and support
high-quality economic development.
