On June 11, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the
State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) held talks with auto
manufacturers suspected of irrational competition, urging strict compliance with
the PRC Price Law and the Regulations on Stopping Low‑Price Dumping. Regulators
instructed firms to follow the Automotive Industry Price Conduct Compliance
Guide, tighten price‑compliance and product‑quality controls, and protect
consumer rights to preserve a market order of quality‑based pricing and healthy
competition in China’s auto market.
