MOFCOM said the 34th China–New Zealand Joint Economic and Trade Commission met in Beijing on June 5. The two sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral economic and trade cooperation and agreed to advance services-trade negative-list negotiations under the China–New Zealand FTA, strengthen coordination within APEC and the WTO, and continue supporting a rules-based multilateral trading system. MOFCOM said it will work with New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade to use the commission to drive bilateral trade cooperation, progress regional and multilateral agendas, and bolster the comprehensive strategic partnership.
