U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent posted on social media saying Iran will lose the zero-sum game it is pursuing. He said any damage Iran inflicts on U.S. allies in the Gulf will be compensated with funds drawn from Iranian accounts, and any transit fees paid to the Persian Gulf Strait Authority will be offset against those accounts. He added that each Iranian attack will amplify Iran’s economic and financial consequences.
