Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee met Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Pozymbayev at Government House on 10 June ahead of Pozymbayev's visit to Hong Kong for an Almaty development roundtable on 11 June. Lee, returning from a delegation to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, encouraged Kazakh companies to use Hong Kong’s international financial and tech platforms and professional services to expand, and said Hong Kong will further support Hong Kong and mainland firms’ outbound expansion into Kazakhstan and other Central Asian markets.
