Guangzhou released its Commerce Development 15th Five-Year Plan (public
consultation draft), targeting annual transaction volume in specialized markets
to exceed 2 trillion yuan by 2030 to consolidate its role as a core platform of
an international trade center. The draft aims to establish 30 public-service
platforms for specialized markets by 2030 and estimates direct and indirect
employment effects of about 2.2 million across trade services, innovation and
entrepreneurship, cultural-tourism consumption and logistics support.
