Central Meteorological Observatory forecasts heavy to torrential rain across
parts of southwest China, East China, South China and northern North China on
June 12–13; Guizhou and Jiangxi may see very heavy rainfall, with short-duration
intense downpours and isolated thunderstorm gusts. Following assessment and
emergency consultation, the China Meteorological Administration activated a
level-4 major meteorological disaster (heavy rain) emergency response at 11:30
on June 12.
