China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lin Jian, responding to a
statement from Philippine defence minister Teodoro that he will remain in his
post, said Teodoro is misrepresenting facts and staging politically motivated
theatrics for personal gain. The ministry said such irresponsible actions by a
small group are aggravating China-Philippines disputes, worsening bilateral
relations and ultimately harming the interests of the Philippine state and
people.
