Israel Defense Forces said alerts that just sounded in the Nahal Oz and Alumim areas were confirmed to be false alarms.

Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, reported senior UAE and Iranian national-security officials held their first face-to-face meeting since the outbreak of hostilities involving the US and Israel in late-Feb. Sources said the talks signal a notable shift as both sides increasingly see value in stabilizing ties. Abu Dhabi wants to preserve large economic projects — including bln-dollar plans to raise oil output and build AI data centers — while Iran views the UAE as a key pre-war trade partner and a conduit for sanctioned oil exports. Since late-February Iran has attacked the UAE more than any other country; Abu Dhabi has retaliated and taken the firmest regional stance against Tehran. The UAE appears to be following Qatar and Saudi Arabia’s path by trying to defuse tensions through diplomacy.

On June 12, chip and metals stocks drove gains. Japan's Nikkei 225 closed up 1,802.77 points (+2.81%) at 66,020.04. South Korea's KOSPI closed up 348.63 points (+4.49%) at 8,112.58, having risen more than 8% intraday.
