The Asset Management Association of China has published Detailed Rules on Suitability Management for publicly offered securities investment funds. The rules require fund distributors to understand the factors used in fund risk grading and to carry out fund risk grading, investor risk‑tolerance assessments and suitability matching when selecting funds to sell. Fund managers must supply distributors with complete information on risk‑grading factors and results; if managers fail to provide or provide incomplete information, distributors must refuse to sell.
