Hainan’s provincial space leadership group met in Haikou on June 12, chaired by
Governor Liu Xiaoming, and ordered an accelerated build-out of commercial launch
sites and an aerospace-city zone to speed major projects. The province targets
basic completion by year-end of core full-chain capabilities — launch, TT&C
(telemetry, tracking & control), recovery and reuse — and called for scientific,
rational, integrity-based and sustainable management, clearer role allocation
and faster project delivery. Authorities directed measures to secure inputs,
prioritise filling, extending and strengthening supply chains, sharpen targeted
investment attraction, fast-track operator incubation and public service
platforms to boost local supplier capacity and grow the rocket, satellite and
data industry chains. The meeting stressed bottom-line and systems thinking,
enhanced risk identification and mitigation, and safe implementation of H2
launch tasks.
