Iranian media reported on the 13th that Iran’s judiciary chief said Tehran
absolutely distrusts the U.S., citing facts and past incidents. He said Iranian
armed forces recently struck enemy targets and halted aggression. Iranian media
on the 12th also reported Iran and the U.S. "could sign a memorandum of
understanding in the coming days", but bilateral ties remain highly sensitive
with unresolved differences on the nuclear issue and regional security.
