At the open, China’s main futures contracts were mixed. SHFE silver jumped more
than 7%; SHFE gold and tin rose over 3%; coke gained more than 2%; glass and
SHFE zinc were up about 2%; soda ash and rubber rose over 1%. Shanghai crude
(SC) plunged more than 7%; fuel oil fell nearly 7%; liquefied petroleum gas
(LPG) dropped over 6%; low‑sulfur fuel oil (LU) lost over 5%; bitumen and
styrene (EB) fell more than 2%; ethylene glycol (EG) was down nearly 2%;
polypropylene declined over 1%.
