Indonesian rupiah extended gains, strengthening to 17,700 per USD, the strongest since May 25.

The State Administration of Foreign Exchange reported banks' foreign-exchange settlements at CNY1,667.6bn (USD243.9bn) and sales at CNY1,422.9bn (USD208.1bn) in May. January–May cumulative banks' settlements were CNY8,762.4bn (USD1,267.5bn) and cumulative sales CNY7,275.5bn (USD1,053.0bn). In May banks' client cross-border receipts totaled CNY5,291.3bn (USD773.8bn) with overseas payments of CNY4,863.7bn (USD711.2bn); January–May cumulative client receipts were CNY26,334.0bn (USD3,811.3bn) and payments CNY24,880.3bn (USD3,601.2bn).

S&P data show Bahrain's five-year CDS tightened 11 bps to 217 bps from last Friday's close; Egypt's five-year CDS fell 7 bps; Dubai's, Qatar's and Saudi Arabia's five-year CDS each fell 1 bp.
