Through June 15, foreign passengers at Beijing ports totaled 3.436 million, 34.4% of total throughput and up 31.5% YoY; 1.259 million foreign entrants used visa-free or temporary-entry permits, comprising 71.7% of inbound foreigners. Inbound demand is concentrated in leisure tourism, business travel and visiting friends and relatives. Mainland residents accounted for 6.033 million travelers via Beijing ports, or 60.3% of the total. Popular destinations include South Korea, Thailand and Singapore.
