On June 15 local time Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar welcomed a memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, calling it a major breakthrough that reflects sustained diplomatic engagement and a preference for dialogue over confrontation. Dar said Pakistan will continue to engage with all parties, urge restraint and constructive interaction, and is willing to support efforts to consolidate progress as negotiations on outstanding issues continue.
